The SealPlate sealing film offer reduced evaporation, spillage, and contamination between wells. This product also features a secure seal, which removes "edge effects" in sensitive ELISA assays. The films can also seal tissue-culture plates for short-term storage, incubation, and containment of biohazards. These can work in a temperature range from -40C to 120C. Nonsterile and non-pierceable.

These heat resistant 50 um thick films are designed for thermal cycling applications. Polypropylene films are not pierceable. For PCR applications, where piercing with pipette tips or robotic probes is required for product recovery, use aluminium foil films. For Real-Time PCR applications, where maximum optical clarity is required, use optically-clear polyester films.
